Abstract
What is 'oneekotoba' In this article, I argue that although it is possible to claim that the linguistic style incorporates a cluster of linguistic resources stereotyplically understood as being hyper-feminine, it is difficult to provide a definitive list of the contents of the style. Popularised via make-over media television in the mid-2000s, the style continues to be used in complex and controversial ways on the small screen.
