Abstract

The Leslie Barklamb Scholarship celebrated its 45th anniversary this year – testimony to the strong and continuing legacy of our ‘founding father of flute’, Leslie Barklamb. The scholarship continues to attract young Melbournians to perform and compete, with 65 entries across the six sections of the competition this year. The junior and senior-preliminary rounds, held on the 6th August, showcased a wonderful array of young performers and repertoire, paving the way for the finals on 25th August.
