Qualified treatment of patients with addictive disorders - Clinical challenges and structural implication in a day hospital

Abstract

Qualified treatment of patients with addictive disorders is also performed in a day hospital setting specialized on addictive disorders. Little is known about the co-morbidity among addicted patients treated in a day hospital for addictive disorders. Thus, we performed a cross-sectional study to assess the psychiatric and physical co-morbidity of alcohol addictive patients (N = 184) in a day hospital setting admitted to the Centre of Psychiatry and Psychological Medicine, Bielefeld, Germany, in 2002.
