This article is based on a keynote presentation at the 2017 Understanding Small Enterprise international conference, Denver. The development of our integrated approach to workplace mental health has been supported by a number of funders and projects over time, including the Australian National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC Partnership Project #1055333), the Victorian Health Promotion Foundation (Melbourne), Worksafe Victoria (Melbourne), the Institute for Safety Compensation & Recovery Research (Melbourne), beyondblue (Melbourne), and Superfriend (Melbourne).
