Donna Hensler

In 2016, the VCA School of Film and Television will release fifty films from its archive, to coincide with its fifty-year anniversary. This large, unprecedented open access project brings the richness of student filmmaking talent at the highly regarded film school into a new and decidedly public form of international exhibition, using YouTube as its conduit. This case study reveals that in this digital age characterised by participation, user engagement and online storytelling, film schools and cultural collections need to stake their claim in the rapidly evolving digital world before it is too late.
