The world art artworld

Abstract

The concept of world art is discussed in concert with current artworld discourses about globalization. It situates the idea of world art historically within an emerging artworld meta-narrative, and argues that the journal World Art should be prepared to rethink the histories of world art from the perspective of this discourse of contemporary art.
