Interview with senior judge Stephen McEwen, the youth court of South Australia

Abstract

Judge McEwen has, over many years, demonstrated an overarching concern for the welfare of young people through his public service activities on Law Society of South Australia (SA) subcommittees, as well as training workshops he provides to criminal justice professionals and students, and through his long-standing engagement with various sporting organizations, including participation in the sports of judo, squash, distance running, and equestrian eventing. He also has chaired a number of Commonwealth games and Olympic Games Selection Appeals.
