Abstract

‘Gender/Power Composition IV’ is an immersive performance installation project activated by performance, movement, and story telling, examining the dynamics of power in relationship to gender. Created through a collaborative working process, the methodology uses a transfeminist framework to directly engage with marginalized communities in order to address social justice issues around authority and gender. Rather than producing a fixed narrative, the work explores how gender presentation affects everyone regardless of their identity. Gender/Power Composition IV was presented at Jack, Brooklyn in October 2016.
