Abstract: Adult learners come to undergraduate and graduate online and blended programs in higher education with diverse experiences, competencies, and expertise. With the affordances of digital technology, there are many design opportunities within online and blended learning environments to help foster more inclusive and accessible learning environments. Integral to supporting our students to be successful learning in both online and blended learning environments, we need to ask the following question: As instructional designers and instructors for fully online and blended courses, what strategies and approaches are we implementing to design robust learning for all students?
