Undergraduate online music course offerings rising exponentially: A research study

Abstract

Undergraduate music courses have traditionally been taught in a classroom setting to encourage social constructivist learning through active participatory learning. With the pervasiveness of technology in both traditional and online classes (Brown & Adler, 2008), researchers have suggested a renewed teaching paradigm in music (Crawford, 2013) and the development of online music pedagogy (Bowman, 2014).
