Abstract

Cognitive impairment amongst individuals with a schizophrenia spectrum disorder (SSD) is commonly reported within the literature. Most investigations employ the traditional group-averaged comparison approach; however, it is known that considerable cognitive heterogeneity exits amongst the SSD population. The aim of the present review was to comprehensively and systematically summarise our current understanding of the cognitive heterogeneity that exists within the SSD population.
