Abstract

Introduction: Women experience poorer clinical outcomes after Acute Coronary Syndrome (ACS). While the reason for this differential is unclear, autonomic function -indicative of vagal and sympathetic modulation directed to the sinus node- is a candidate mechanism. Hypothesis: That sex-specific differences in heart rate variability (HRV) in the year following ACS drive all-cause readmission outcomes after 2-years.
