Abstract
What has been abandoned in the wake of progress? Film Series #1 looks forward by looking backward. Dusting off a set of abandoned machines two performers experiment with survival techniques through recovering and playing differently 16mm film with their gestures. Film Series #1 combines dance and choreography with physical computing, wearable technology, interaction, film, video and lighting design. The work is conceived as a non-traditional performance work that could also be described as an interactive performance or a multi-media experience.
