Abstract

Ten women performers arrive in the central business district of Auckland by boat and inhabit various sites throughout the city as anarchic angels, Urban Devas. Inspired by the work of Leonora Carrington they move through the city with choreographed movement, sung chants and vocalisations projected through their communicating vessels (large megaphones.
