Live Performance of Creative Work

CM Brown, A Niemetz | Published : 2010

Washed in pulses of sound a solo performer wired with a sensor skin-suit angles her limbs towards the light. Binding her movements into matrices of light and sound, she plays the space as a vibrating sonic instrument. In this work, the coordinates of states of rest, play and dream create a score for an emergent performance improvisation between sound, movement and light. At once highly visceral and technologically mediated, the dancers wired nature gives the internal life of the body a highly visible and audible edge.
