The excavations of Non Ban Jak were funded under a grant from the Australian Research Council 2011-2013 (DP110101997) led by Dougald O'Reilly and Louise Shewan, as well as a University of Otago Research Grant (2015) and Royal Society of New Zealand Marsden Fund (UOO1508/2016-2019), awarded to Hallie Buckley, Charles Higham, and Sian Halcrow.
