Issues in measuring quality in the Australian apple supply chain?

Abstract

The major supermarket chains in Australia are struggling to gain competitive advantage over their rivals in the face of rising retail competition. Closer collaboration with suppliers is one competitive strategy that is gaining in popularity. Collaboration allows for the provision of information that can improve responsiveness of the supply chain to consumer demands and reduce costs for both retailers and suppliers.
