62Marine organisms are surplus sources of biologically active and available compounds. The presence of these bioactive molecules in marine sources puts them at very important position in diet-based regimens. Thus, the trend to consume food as a “medicine” is gradually becoming more common among people because of the awareness of the role of bioactive or nutraceutical in human health beyond the basic nutrition.
