Abstract

The Australian scholars of Indonesia oral history project (see NLA Bib ID 7336672) was a joint project between the National Library of Australia and the Herb Feith Foundation - Monash University. Interviews to be conducted by Dr Jemma Purdey, Assoc Prof Charles Coppel and Prof Barbara Hatley. It was conceived as a project to conduct audio interviews with up to sixty selected Australian scholars representative of the breadth and depth of Australian scholarship of Indonesia. The list of those under consideration for interview represented scholars who spent a significant period of fieldwork in Indonesia in various disciplines from the 1950s to the 2000s.
