Abstract
Melanoma is a highly immunogenic cancer, and along with the combination of poor clinical outcomes and treatments with limited efficacy, these attributes have made metastatic melanoma an ideal platform to study immune-based therapies. Adoptive cell therapy (ACT) is as a highly effective personalized cancer treatment, utilizing the natural effector functions of T cells targeting tumor antigens.This chapter will concentrate on the development and efficacy of ACT in melanoma.
