Abstract
This paper intends to find a way to calculate appropriate width and height for rectangle window. This paper focuses on air velocity for better thermal comfort. In summer, higher air velocity results in higher thermal comfort, higher temperature tolerance and lower air-conditioner usage. Most previous researches concentrated on day lighting and air exchange rate rather than thermal comfort. Firstly, this paper gives the results of natural ventilation thermal comfort investigation and points out that higher air velocity brings on higher residents' comfort in summer.
