Abstract
This program analyses the National Gallery of Victoria exhibition 'Terracotta Warriors and Cai Guoqiang' in the context of Chinese cultural history, and contemporary practices in archaeology, conservation and curatorship. It provides a comprehensive art historical understanding of the 200 works in the exhibition, their significance and new cultural meaning with ancient and contemporary artworks juxtaposed.
