Abstract
© 2019 Association for Computing Machinery. Recovery' is a suite of mobile software applications providing an adjunct to clinical support for clients with a substance addiction to help manage relapse behaviour. As part of working on the service design of eRecovery during a 12-month trial, we have created a practical model to organise, visualise and evaluate progress through the stages of adoption, appropriation and on-going routine use of the client facing software. Factors in the model represent the positive and negative tensions that determine whether and how a client progresses to the next stage of use.
