Management of Gallstone Disease A Practical and Evidence Based Approach | Published : 2018
Abstract
The prevalence of gallstone disease in cirrhotic patients is higher than in the general population, with almost one third having cholelithiasis [1]. The higher incidence is related to a higher incidence of pigment stones (Chap. 1). The majority (80%) are asymptomatic, with the remainder presenting with biliary pain, cholecystitis or obstructive jaundice [2].
