iPadagogy: Appropriating the ipad within pedagogical contexts

Abstract

This paper is a revised and expanded version of a paper entitled “iPadagogy: Appropriating the iPad within pedagogical contexts” presented at the MLearn 2011 Conference in Beijing, China, in which we compared and critiqued four mlearning projects using iPads in 2010. Using an action research methodology the authors explored the impact of the integration of the mlearning projects on the pedagogical approaches of these four courses in 2010, and built upon these in a further four courses in 2011.
