Four voices on Learners and Mobile Devices in Teacher Education

Abstract

Within a national project, ‘Learners and mobile devices’, a six-person practitioner-researcher community of practice (CoP) at the Faculty of Education is exploring mobile learning in our courses. We are examining how we can best utilise mobile learning to attain deep learning outcomes, support authentic learning, increase student and teacher motivation, facilitate meaningful student engagement and interaction, establish effective feedback, and enhance student achievement. Our CoP and the implementation of mobile technology in our courses is based on Cochrane’s (2014) framework of six critical success factors (CSFs).
