Aberrant Nuptials: Deleuze and Artistic Research | Leuven University Press | Published : 2019

Abstract

Aberrant Nuptials explores the diversity and richness of the interactions between artistic research and Deleuze studies. “Aberrant nuptials” is the expression Gilles Deleuze uses to refer to productive encounters between systems characterised by fundamental difference. Presa's chapter describes the relationship between materials, processes in her organic sculpture installation "Garden of Small Nuptials" and their relationship to Deleuzian concepts of folding and aberrant systems of exchange between heterogenous forms, substances and methods to reveal unexpected forensic clues of biological origins and colonial resistance.
