International Involvement in Constitution Making

Abstract

The current constitutions of well over 100 of the 193 member states of the United Nations (UN) were made in the last 30 years, since the end of the Cold War. This figure by no means represents the full extent of significant constitution making, moreover; both older and more recent constitutions also were amended, sometimes extensively, during this period.
