Equity Crowdfunded Companies in the United Kingdom: What Factors Determine Post-Campaign Success?

Equity crowdfunding (ECF) is a relatively new phenomenon in the market for equity finance: Australia only introduced a dedicated ECF regulatory framework in 2017. While there has been much research on the potential advantages and disadvantages of ECF, there is considerably less empirical research on ECF. In addition, this empirical research largely focuses on the dynamics of campaign funding and campaign success. Relatively few studies have explored the ongoing success of companies after they have raised funds through the ECF process.
