The Arctic is responding to climate change more rapidly and intensely than any other region on Earth. Besides the temperature rise and sea ice retreat, surface gravity waves are becoming more energetic, leading to rapid coastal erosion, affecting wildlife, communities and coastal infrastructures. In response to these changes, this research aims to investigate the metocean parameters across the Arctic Ocean over the past decades by numerical modelling, evaluating their climate and long-term variability. It introduces a systematic assessment of sea ice concentration, winds, and waves by computing their monthly averages, higher percentiles and their long-term trends. The trend analyses demonstr..
