Abstract
Background The burden of colorectal cancer is high in developed countries and is now increasing in developing countries. Socioeconomic disparities in colorectal cancer incidence and screening uptake are global issues. Identifying the mediator of the association between socioeconomic status and colorectal cancer will guide appropriate public health interventions to reduce the burden of colorectal cancer.
