Abstract

Multi-access edge computing (MEC) is the next paradigm to support the enormous growth of diverse mobile applications that require high computational power, ultra-low latency, and high bandwidth. The user experience can be enhanced beyond the constrained resources limited by the mobile devices by offloading computation-intensive tasks to the MEC hosts. Since MEC hosts are deployed proximity to the end-users, mobility of users leads to multiple handovers in the mobile network, which leads to application migrations in the MEC network.
