Abstract

Rilke is informed both by the practices of North American Language poets and Austrian writer Rainer Maria Rilke, specifically, The Notebooks of Malte Laurids Brigge 1910. Rilke does not conform to poetic conventions but rearranges an emotive text in such a way that meaning is moved away from narrative subjectivity.
