Abstract

At the center of Berlin-based Australian artist and writer Alex Martinis Roe’s work is the concept of feminist genealogies. In her films and writing, and in the public conversations and encounters she organizes, Alex develops experimental and non-linear methods of forging relationships across generations. From 2012 to 2016, she engaged with feminist collectives in six cities across Europe and Australia in order to learn with and from their organizing practices, their ways of doing history, and their modes of theorizing.
