Abstract
During the residence of Paul Mefano, organised on the 4 - 5 December, 2013, by the Laxen GREAM in Strasbourg, the students of the Superior Academy of Music of Strasbourg prepared Estampes Japonaise for a masterclass and concert in the presence of the composer. This article describes the research of the conductor with the soloist and the ensemble, and their collaboration with the composer. The Estampes Japonaise by Paul Mefano are five short musical tableaux for soprano voice and ensemble.
