Abstract

Modular construction is becoming increasingly popular day by day due to its’ advantages, that outweigh disadvantages to a great extent. With the continuous growth of modular construction, modular structures are moving more towards pure modular constructions which require minimal work onsite. Pure modular buildings require no external lateral force resisting systems (LFRS) which may require significant time and be more costly. Modular buildings are very different from conventional structures in terms of construction nature. A modular structure can be considered as an alternate arrangement of modules and connections.
