Raquel Ormella, I live with Birds: Critical Response

Abstract

'Iteration:Again' was an exhibition and publication project curated/edited by David Cross. It brought a writer and curator together with an artist as part of an exhibition project across the state of Tasmania. Invited into the project as a writer, Marie Sierra's published a critical response to the work of Raquel Ormella, as Ormella developed a multi-site and iterative work called 'I live with birds' over several weeks. The work examined the social construction of nature through human relationships with animals, particularly via acts observation, listening, identification, classification and recording.
