Abstract

The Architecture Building and Planning (ABP) Library collection at the University of Melbourne evolved from a donation of books in the early days of the Melbourne University Architectural Atelier (MUAA), established in 1919. Today, it is acknowledged as the most significant architectural collection in Australia. Within it is a considerable number of titles relating to Asian architecture, many quite rare, donated by faculty academics returning from travels, visiting professors and professional architects, or gifted through professional networks.
