The Textual History of Codex Sinaiticus Arabicus and its Family

The Arabic versions of the Gospels are commonly regarded as being late translations and therefore of minor significance for the study of New Testament textual criticism. However, in the Sinai New Finds of 1975 there are three manuscripts, including Codex Sinaiticus Arabicus, which preserve an Arabic translation of the Gospels translated directly from Greek and which has been shown to be strongly dissimilar to the Majority Text in Luke’s Gospel.
