Abstract
This study describes the development and evaluation of an appropriate methodology to study observer performance when comparing 2-D and 3-D angiographic techniques. 3D-CT angiograms were obtained from patients with cerebral aneurysms or occlusive carotid artery disease and perspective rendering of this 3-D data was performed to produce maximum intensity projections (MIP) at view angles identical to digital subtraction angiography (DSA) images.
