Abstract
Health promotion content has been a major component in the Monash University medical curriculum since the early 1990s. Three descriptive examples of international models of health promotion across undergraduate, graduate and postgraduate levels address these questions: “How can medical educators best prepare their students to contribute to another century of continued health improvement?” “Are students learning about prevention currently?” A key educational strategy utilised in successful development and implementation of health promotion in medical education is the establishment of community partnerships with higher education.
