Abstract
This chapter demonstrates the importance of building partnerships between community and higher education. It presents issues about governance structure, curriculum management, teaching activity, learning outcomes, assessment and clinical experience. The chapter discusses some of the other issues relating to integration, accountability and links with outside agencies. The primary care setting is where the majority of health problems first present to healthcare providers.
