Morbidity and mortality rates from seasonal and pandemic influenza virus infections occur disproportionately in high-risk groups, including Indigenous people globally. Although adaptive immunity is essential for combating viral infections, it is largely understudied in Indigenous populations, including Aboriginal Australians.
