Effectiveness of the Interdisciplinary Ambulatory Rehabilitation Program in Persons with Spina Bifida

Abstract

Abstract This randomised controlled trial assessed the effectiveness of an interdisciplinary (ID) ambulatory rehabilitation program for persons with Spina Bifida (pwSB) in an Australian community cohort. Fifty-four participants were randomized to a treatment group for high intensity (ID) rehabilitation program (with cognitive-behaviour therapy), or a control group comprising usual care (n=27 participants in each group). Assessments were conducted at baseline, and 3-months post-intervention, using validated outcome measures.
