Abstract

There has been a growing appreciation of the importance of developing networks in the field of logistics and supply chain management (SCM), including freight transport network (FTN) and supply chain network (SCN). Freight transport constitutes an important activity undertaken between and within cities. An efficient spatial organization of multimodal transport systems has the potential to support the economic and sustainable development of cities, regions, and countries by alleviating various externalities such as traffic congestion, increased energy consumption, and negative environmental impacts.
