Abstract

Methamphetamine use is a major health concern globally, with ever-expanding market and an increasing number of users worldwide. In Australia, the number of people with methamphetamine use disorder has increased over the past 10 years, specifically amongst adolescents and young adults. This is a particular concern, as the age of onset of substance use predicts the severity of substance use disorder later in life. In addition, young people are more resistant to treatment.
