Abstract

Background: Medication errors in adult intensive care units (ICUs) are both frequent and harmful. For nurses, these errors may be multifactorial and multidisciplinary, extending from prescription stage to monitoring of patient response to medication. Therefore, diverse interventions have been developed to optimise the medication process to prevent such errors.
