Preparation of newly qualified dental practitoners: FInal report

Abstract

This report describes the aims, methods, findings and outcomes of a study conducted to explore the preparation for practice of newly qualified dental practitioners in Australia (the term ‘dental’ hereafter will refer to dentists, oral health therapists, dental therapists, dental hygienists and dental prosthetists). The project commenced in September 2019 at the Melbourne Dental School (MDS), in collaboration with the Department of Medical Education, Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry and Health Sciences, the University of Melbourne.
