Abstract

In the last two decades, there has been an interest in adopting community music practices that originate in out-of-school contexts and bringing these into schools to address persistent concerns with low student satisfaction with music classes. Community music practices may also contribute to realizing the fourth United Nations Sustainable Development Goal which seeks inclusive and equitable educational opportunities that promote lifelong learning for all learners.
