Abstract
Osteosarcopenia is defined when osteoporosis and sarcopenia co-exist. Osteosarcopenia can lead to more severe falls and fractures when compared with only either conditions. Sarcopenia is defined as muscle mass deterioration while osteoporosis is characterized as reduction of bone quality. Though screening methods are quite well-studied, prediction of their consequences are unclear. We aim to review the current personalized methods combined with imaging technologies that can identify and predict consequences of osteosarcopenia among older adults. Current clinical tools for osteosarcopenia include bone mineral density (BMD) or muscle strength via a combination of imaging and statistical models..
